Senior Research Engineer (FPSO, Equipment, and Offshore Structures) Singapore

 

Further to our telecon yesterday, we have vacancies with our client for the Senior Research Engineer and Research Engineer position for the FPSO projects / Heavy Equipment projects and Offshore Structures.

Job Responsibilities:

FPSO:
- Feasibility Study/Conceptual Design/FEED/ Detailed Engineering Support for FPSO Topside, FLNG and FSRU facilities.
- Establish conceptual design, plot plant, budgetary cost estimates, plant project implementation strategies.
- Process Simulation (HYSIS, PRO-II, Flarenet, etc), preparation of PFDs & P&IDs, equipment sizing, datasheet and specification.
- Preparation of process operating manuals and control philosophy.
- Process product development leading to new technologies from lab/pilot plant to commercial.

Equipment:
- Design and development of heavy equipment/machinery such as Mooring winches.
- Perform engineering calculations, design drafting and analysis.
- Perform cost calculations and project planning.
- Interface with equipment suppliers.

Offshore Structures:
Riser mooring system analysis
Hydrodynamic analysis for large floating structures
FEA Analysis based on class rules

The requirement goes as below:

For FPSO:
PhD/Master's/Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum & Process studies.
Minimum 10 years total process design experience with 2-5 years process design experience on LNG Processes.
Knowledgeable in International Codes & Standards and process safety requirement.

For Equipment:
Masters/Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Understanding of hydraulics, Automation and Control, Electrical Motors, Gearboxes and Mechanical components design.
- Familiar with design software such as AutoCAD, Inventor & Solidworks
- Minimum 6 years related work experience.

For Offshore structures:
Naval Architecture / Structural Engineering

Preferably from offshore industry
